I agree wholeheartedly. The 'word' that burns me most is 'pwn'. We're all entiteled to a (typo or two) but deliberately typing that is downright geeky. Yes, I'm aware I just insulted about 50% of the GW population.

When it comes to ectoplasm, I don't mind 'ecto's'(so long as its pluralised - "100 ecto" is weird for a native English speaker). 'Ectoplasms' is long word and its natural to abbreviate. I don't like "100e" either.

What the hell is wrong with me? Where do you get help for people like me?

I think this bothers me more than anything.....As seen in Alliance chat....

"can sum1 help me with a mision"
"Where?"
"praficies"

I've seen this sooo many times. The first time I saw someone use the word I didn't understand what he meant. I asked again, "where?" and got this response....
"u no, 1st campane"

Ooooh, "Prophecies??" Since then I've seen "praficies" and "profices" many many times. I guess spelling is truly a lost art.

You are absolutely, positively incorrect.

Apostrophes are used in CONTRACTIONS, not abbreviations.

I've seen so many people post this, and it drives me plain nut's.

Perhaps British English and American English are different in this situation. I spent years being taught otherwise.
